I noticed PSoft Search on Twitter a few days ago, despite their single tweet and small community list. As I do with every new Twitter follower, I check them out to see if they’re worth a follow back. PSoft Search is.
Because PSoft Search itself is a front-end to a custom Google search, it’s relevant. For example, we here at MIPRO specialize in PeopleSoft EAM/ALM, and that’s something we’ve written a lot about on this blog. So when I got to PSoft Search.com and enter ‘peoplesoft eam’, this is what I get back:
Tons of stuff that we’ve been publishing about PeopleSoft EAM/ALM the first page and a half. Then other big names – IT Toolbox, for instance – start appearing. These are relevant and current results. Impressive.
Their Suggest a Site section is full of pretty reliable names when it comes to the PeopleSoft space, and you can suggest more in the comments. What’s more, admin Rakesh Subhagan seems very involved and responsive to comments and suggestions.
I also like their cogent, simple listing of most major PeopleBooks, which are great reference materials for practitioners and app administrators alike.
It’s a homegrown tool that’s clearly young, but in my tire-kicking it does pretty well at finding PeopleSoft-relevant content without a lot of the chaff raw Google might throw your way, and I like the active blog on the back end with scads of PeopleSoft resources. Give it a test drive yourself.
