More New Enhancements Coming in PeopleTools 8.52

More New Enhancements Coming in PeopleTools 8.52

We’ve been saying for a few weeks now that PeopleTools 8.52 is shaping up to be quite a powerful release, and we recently learned of three other new enhancements that are sure to make developers happy — especially if they’re into PeopleTools AppDesigner.  Here’s the one we hear about quite a bit, as detailed by The PeopleSoft Technology Blog:

One of the most exiting developer enhancements is the way PeopleTools improved the file attachment user interface.  Selecting multiple files on a page use to require the user to ‘select a single file – click ok’ then repeat over and over.  That frustrated users and there was nothing developers could do to improve it.  Not until 8.52 that is.  Now there is a multi-select user interface that lets users choose one or more files at a time.  That is sure to simplify the interface and make users happy.

That’s just one of them, frankly.  Be sure to check out the whole post to learn about more.  Also, if you missed our earlier posts about this release, you can hop over here and here and here to check them out.

We’re also hearing from quite a few customers about how PeopleTools is becoming a centerpoint of sorts in their application upgrade strategy. Beginning with PeopleTools 8.5, there’s been a ton of developer, UX, app design and navigation enhancements coming out of Oracle.  It’s really good stuff.  We still get a lot of calls about our packaged PeopleTools Upgrade Service [PDF], and we’re already getting requests for 8.52 as we head up to its release date.

If you want to investigate or implement the latest and greatest PeopleTools but don’t have the internal expertise, resources or time, drop us an email about our packaged PeopleTools upgrade service and we’ll be happy to talk.  It’s affordable, high-value and quick — and gets you ready for the latest PeopleSoft applications and feature packs.
