Reflections on Oracle’s 5th Annual Maintenance Summit

Oracle’s Mark Rosenberg with a nice recap of Oracle’s 5th Annual Maintenance Summit, easily the premier conference for anyone interested in maintenance management and enterprise asset management (EAM):

Third, we on the Oracle team responded to participant feedback from the last Summit, and the increased attendance and survey ratings this year proved we got it right. This year, the agenda and speakers were secured and posted earlier to help participants provide business justification to their management so they could attend. We reserved time in the schedule for plenty of networking breaks to facilitate learning, and there were numerous demo stations and pavilions manned by our most knowledgeable Solution Consultants and partner company representatives.  In addition to the several general sessions on maintenance and high performance, we offered more presentations by product family. Having two full days with planned networking time, as well as a fantastic party hosted by Oracle Partner VIZIYA and a PeopleSoft customer dinner hosted by Oracle Partner MiPro Consulting, really gave customers and prospects a chance to understand how valuable and vibrant the community is for PeopleSoft Maintenance Management.

Any steady reader of this blog knows how large a footprint we have at the Oracle Maintenance Summit and how vigorously we support Oracle’s excellent PeopleSoft Maintenance Management ERP applications.  It was a fantastic show, and we’re looking forward to working with everyone we met there on their plans for a smarter asset maintenance approach.

Finally, a big thank you to Oracle’s Mike Madden, Mark Rosenberg and Loida McDearis for comprising a top-notch team, one truly infrequently found in the industry.  You’re a pleasure to work with.
