The new PeopleSoft HCM PUM Updates – Images 52 & 53 included many valuable enhancements. While each PUM update will have different value and meet different needs depending on the modules you own and your business practices, a few key enhancements are included in the list below. Many of the PeopleSoft HCM enhancements were around the new Homepage and Insights embedded into WorkCenters. 

  • Absence: Delivered the Benefit Savings Auto Enrollment and Auto Escalation feature that allows benefits administrators to auto enroll and escalate employee contributions to savings plans.
  • Benefits: Enhanced the Benefits Plan Comparison page to enable employees to print or save their Benefits Enrollment Plan Comparison report.
  • General: Enhanced Page and Field Configurator to integrate with Notification Composer for the Change Tracking configuration type. This feature allows you to send notifications when users change information.
  • General: Added the View Approval Status functionality to view transactions that are submitted by requesters, and transactions where you are an approver. This new page provides requesters easy access to track submitted transactions, which avoids complications when accessing various components to review the approval status. It provides approvers quick access to the transactions that have been approved or denied by them.
  • General: Added the Enterprise Components Work Management Framework that allows you to view and manage exception transactions when they appear in the My Work: Exception section of a PeopleSoft WorkCenter. This optional framework provides additional actions, in addition to existing application-delivered actions, to track and clear exceptions when no system-based resolution exists. The exception transactions are placed into one of five different views: Active, All Assigned, All History, Assigned to Me, and Inactive.
  • Global Payroll: Delivered Drop Zone functionality for Global Payroll pages, including Maintain Bank Accounts, Add Bank Information, Payee Assignment by Element, Element Assignment by Payee, One Time (Positive Input), Specify Net Pay Elections, and Add Deduction Recipients.
  • Global Payroll: Delivered the fluid Global Payroll Formula Designer, which serves as a free-form editor that enables users to create and adjust formulas. This tool includes a Typeahead feature, which facilitates the selection of various element types, keywords, and functions during the formulation of new or the modification of existing formulas. Additionally, it permits the copying and pasting of formula text, presents multiple error messages upon validation if errors are present, and highlights the erroneous row when it is clicked. This tool is compatible with all Global Payroll country extensions.
  • HR: Enhanced the Remote Worker feature to restrict Remote Work eligibility types by Job Code or Position. Added the ability to limit the days a person can go back and enter a retroactive request.
  • HR: Enhanced the OnBoarding feature to provide a multi-participant activity guide template, which supports separate steps for the employee and manager.
  • Payroll NA: Delivered Paycheck Modeler in Fluid to provide employees a modern and intuitive user interface to simulate paychecks with their what-if scenarios. This feature includes redesigned pages and accessibility enhancements, streamlining the paycheck modeling process on all form factors.
  • T&L: Enhanced the Quick Fill feature, which enables the administrators to control the availability of quick fill options for time reporters according to their qualifications. Administrators can effortlessly add or remove these options, ensuring that time reporters have access only to the relevant values.
