PeopleSoft HCM – COVID-19

As part of the HR module, PeopleSoft provides capabilities to track Health and Safety (H&S) of employees. If your organization has the need, you can leverage H&S to track COVID-19. There are multiple methods you can use to track COVID-19 based on your organization’s requirements. You can add COVID-19 as an occupational illness and/or a diagnosis. You can then use that information in H&S to either track it as an incident or as part of recorded health. You can even leverage the new tool of drop zones to add fields in pages for identification and tracking purposes.

If you choose to track COVID-19 as an incident, you can define the incident, the location of the incident and others involved. If the employee has close contact with others, you can use the information to identify others potentially impacted or the location where the employee worked. You can continue to define the injury, including diagnosis. You can also identify work impacted including restricted days and return dates. Once the information is stored, you can report as necessary.

Another option is to record physical exams or add diagnoses to the employee Health card. Once the data is in the system, you can report as necessary.
