PeopleSoft New Features Update

Did you know there were 64 new features and functionality delivered in HCM Images 42-44? And 47 new features released in FSCM Images 43 to 45?  To view a complete list of the key features delivered, the module, and the image delivered, click on the links listed below:

The HCM enhancements were across modules as broken down by the chart below with Core HR having the most enhancements overall.

A few key HCM enhancements include:

  • Added the ability to support the Absence events on Employee Calendar which will allow employees to Request Absence, View Absence and Cancel an Absence.
  • Enhanced the Fluid Absence Request and Absence Balances pages to provide real-time and processed absence balances. Enhanced Absence Forecasting to display the current status of the requests for self-service users, and enabled element resolution chain for Forecasting for administrators.
  • Delivered the Processed Absence Analytics dashboard that enables administrators and managers to view visualizations for processed absences, including paid and unpaid absences and negative absence balances.
  • Added the Fluid Benefits Enrollment Plan Compare feature to support comparison of benefit plans for employees during enrollment events. Added the ability for administrators to define plan comparison templates using an activity guide process.
  • Added an interactive Recruiting digital assistant for Candidate Gateway to help external applicants to view job postings, search for jobs, check job application statuses, use saved searches, and access FAQs through a conversational interface. To implement this feature, the digital assistant needs to be downloaded from the ODA store and configured accordingly. The skill associated with the digital assistant has a list of required fixes to be applied in the Detailed Description section.
  • Added Employee Self Service (ESS) Calendar to provide employees an at-a-glance display of peer events. With a number of user preferences, the ESS Employee Calendar feature enables employees to view events for Absence, Schedule, Holidays, Work Anniversaries and Birthdays out of the box. The framework enables administrators to set up and manage custom events along with options to fine tune the level of access and preferences. Organizations can add their own events by creating application classes and adding the configuration to the framework.
  • Delivered the Global Payroll Trends dashboard which enables you to view interactive visualizations for Global Payroll based on the Global Payroll data search indexes.
  • Delivered the Remote Worker dashboard for managers. This dashboard is filtered on the manager’s direct and indirect reports to provide visualizations based on remote worker details.
  • Delivered the U.S. Payroll Trends Analytics dashboard. The U.S. Payroll Trends Analytics dashboard enables you to view Analytics visualizations for Payroll based on U.S. Payroll data indexes.
  • Enhanced the Direct Deposit functionality in Employee Self Service to support additional setup options, such as requiring employees to create remaining balance accounts, removing check as a payment method, not allowing employees to delete their last accounts, setting the default option for suppress direct deposit advice print, specifying the maximum account number limit, and setting job action-based direct deposit overrides. Other enhancements include new pages, text and message updates to support the improved direct deposit process.
  • Added the ability to override time reporters’ schedules in Fluid. Enhanced the Replace and Swap actions to allow tracking and provide greater insights. Provided a new schedule calendar user interface to support the punch schedule.
  • Added the ability to support the Employee Self Service Schedule transactions on Team Calendar which will allow employees to Trade their shift or Give Up their shift.

A few key FSCM enhancements include:

  • Enhanced Billing Revenue analytics using Kibana dashboards. Two new dashboards were added. The Billing Operations dashboard helps to analyze the number of invoices processed, and the Billing Analysis dashboard helps to analyze the billing amounts within a selected time frame.
  • Enhanced the email that is generated when an invoice is sent to include a From email address in place of the original system email address. This From email address is configured for a business unit or bill type.
  • Enhanced PeopleSoft Expenses to allow one or more attachments to be uploaded at one time. PeopleTools 8.59 or higher is required for this feature.
  • Enhanced the Expense Report attachment feature to add documents to an expense report after it is paid. Attachments can now be added when the transaction is in an approved, staged, or paid status.
  • Enhanced the Fluid Approval feature for journals so that you can automatically approve and post journals in one action. This feature removes the requirement to run the Post Journals process separately.
  • Enhanced the Financial Terms page for operating receivables leases to allow the addition of Initial Direct Cost and Lease Incentives paid in accordance with ASC842 and IFRS16 guidance. In addition, the page is enhanced with the ‘Collectability is not Probable’ check box, which enables you to track this possibility in your reports.
  • Added a My Work exception to the Fluid Project Costing WorkCenter to identify project budgets ready to finalize with actions to process multiple project budgets in a single action.
  • Added four Project Analytics dashboards to the Project Management homepage. Four new Kibana dashboards provide comparisons of Project Budgeted Cost, Actual Cost, Billing, Revenue and Profit with detail by supplier, employee, project manager, and project type.  Year-Over-Year Project Analytics compare Billing, Actual Cost, Revenue, and Profit for the current and previous two years.
  • Enhanced the Fluid Receivables WorkCenter to provide the new Electronic Deposits in Error exception. The Electronic Deposits in Error exception enables you to view electronic deposits with invalid bank account data and delete the data from the staging tables.
  • Enhanced Receivables analytics using Kibana dashboards. Two new dashboards are added. Use the Collector dashboard to view aging and history activity of the customers. Use the Collections Manager dashboard to view aging and history activity across Receivables.
  • Enhanced Inventory analytics using Kibana dashboards. Two new dashboards are added. Item Lots Approaching Expiration Date dashboard helps to analyze the Item lots approaching expiration date and Non-Viable Item Lot Analysis dashboard helps to analyze expired item lots.
  • Added the Fluid Bidder Response component which enables users to respond to ‘request for’ bid opportunities. Bidders and suppliers can complete and review their responses, resolve errors, and submit responses using the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface.
