New PUM Features: March 2022

PeopleSoft New Features Update

There were many enhancements delivered in these PUM updates – several Kibana Dashboards and  Digital Assistants, as well as many others. 

A few key enhancements include:

• Added the ability to support the Absence Events on Team Calendar which will allow managers to view their team’s availability, Request Absence, Approve Absence and Cancel an Absence.
• Delivered Digital Assistant support for Absence Assistant.
• Delivered the Absence Events Analytics Dashboard created using Kibana Analytics. The Events Analytics Dashboard enables administrators to view Kibana visualizations for Absence Management based on the Absence Events Data Elasticsearch index.
• Enhanced the Multiple Job Application functionality in Fluid Candidate Gateway to provide job applicants the ability to: View each application of a multiple job application separately on the My Applications page based on the site setup. See the status of each application based on the status setup of the organization. Withdraw their applications from job openings based on the rules of the organization. See application acknowledgements based on job openings.
• Added the Questionnaire Event feature which enables you to provide questionnaires outside of an activity guide through email or online notifications. This feature works with the existing Questionnaire Framework, which is used to create the questionnaire.
• Enhanced the Forms & Approval Builder to include Section and Time widgets in the Fluid Form Designer. You can format Sections using the Rich Text Editor provided in the Define Record page of Supplemental Data Framework. With this enhancement you can run a conversion process to convert existing Classic forms to Fluid forms.
• Enhanced the Page and Field Configurator to support the use of system variables. With this update, system variables such as the current date and ID of the logged-in user can be selected as default field values. Also, the users can use the system variables such as entry mode (add, update the display, update display all, correction), user currency, user language, menu, and portal name as criteria.
• Delivered the Global Payroll Operations Dashboard created using Kibana Analytics. The Global Payroll Operations Dashboard enables you to view Kibana visualizations for Global Payroll based on the Global Payroll data Elasticsearch indexes.
• Delivered Digital Assistant support for Employee Directory Assistant.
• Delivered the Remote Worker activity guide process for employees to submit remote work requests. In addition, administrators and managers can submit and approve requests. Kibana Analytics for Remote Worker Administrator is delivered in unit 224259 (bug 33231743), which will work on PeopleTools 8.58.13 (or higher). Tile Visibility control for 8.59 is delivered in unit 225169 (bug 33414086), which will control the visibility of tile for employee.
• Delivered the U.S. Payroll Cost Analytics Dashboard created using Kibana Analytics. The U.S. Payroll Cost Analytics Dashboard enables you to view Kibana visualizations for Payroll based on U.S. Payroll data Elasticsearch indexes.
• Delivered the Time and Labor Reported Time Analytics Dashboard created using Kibana Analytics. The Reported Time Analytics Dashboard enables administrators to view Kibana visualizations for Time and Labor based on the Reported Time Data Elasticsearch index.

FSCM also had many enhancements including Kibana Dashboards and Digital Assistant updates. 

A few key enhancements include:

• Enhanced 13 Asset Management approvals to use the Delegation Framework. Some of the approvals are AM Cost Adjust Transfer, AM Mass Transaction, AM Disposal, and AM Self Service Retire.
• Enhanced the Express Billing feature to interface with Forms and Approval Builder. Using the Forms and Approver Builder feature in Enterprise Components, you can create a simple invoice form for users who are not familiar with the details of creating a Billing invoice. A component interface is now available to access the form in Express Billing where you can access the fields defined in Forms and Approval Builder and process the invoice.
• Enhanced the Expenses Skill to be part of PeopleSoft Intelligent Chatbot Assistant from Oracle (PICASO), Employee PeopleSoft Digital Assistant. In addition to making inquiries on the status of expense reports, you can also quickly add as incurred expense rows to My Wallet by providing only four pieces of information.
• Enhanced the Page and Field Configurator to support the use of system variables. • Enhanced the Enterprise Objects Approval Workflow Framework to add multiple addresses to the approval notification email. With this enhancement, all the approvers in the approval notification email can see the participant list.
• Enhanced General Ledger analytics using Kibana Dashboards. Two new Kibana Dashboards are added to analyze Budget versus Actual. The My Budget dashboard provides budgetary insights for department managers. The Controller’s Key Metrics dashboard focuses on the financial performance of divisional or enterprise-level expenses and revenue.

The Controller’s Key Metrics dashboard focuses on the financial performance of divisional or enterprise-level expenses and revenue.
• Enhanced nine Lease Administration approvals to use the Delegation Framework. Some of the approvals are Lease Transaction, Lease Clause Monitoring, Audit Expense Monitoring, and Transaction Queue.
• Added an interactive supplier digital assistant for eSettlements to help suppliers perform a range of simple inquiries on invoice status, payment status and disputed invoices.
• Added the Supplier Skill to the Supplier Digital Assistant, which is part of PeopleSoft Intelligent Chatbot Assistant from Oracle (PICASO), to the Supplier Public Secure home page. In addition to making inquiries on PO Acknowledgements, Overdue Shipments & Rejected Receipts, users can find information related to Calendar Events, Announcements, and contact details.
