PeopleSoft Support Update: Support through at least 2034
If you only listen to headlines, you will think that if your business isn’t 100% in the cloud, you are way behind the times. It’s a good thing you’re smarter than that. PeopleSoft continues to thrive and continues to survive all the rumors that it is an end-of-life product. Oracle has just announced that it will continue to actively invest in PeopleSoft through at least 2034. Yes, that’s at least 10 more years, with the emphasis on “at least”.
If you’re active in the PeopleSoft community, this isn’t news to you, but it’s important to remind ourselves of this occasionally. Over the past few PUM updates, Oracle has added PeopleTools features, like real-time indexing; Human Capital Management enhancements in Benefits Administration, Performance Management and Payroll; and Financials enhancements in Asset Management, General Ledger, Payables and many more.
If there is ever any doubt about the investment in PeopleSoft, just look at the hundreds of new features and functions that were added in 2022, and 2023 is already off to a strong start with FSCM PUM 47 and HCM PUM 45 already released.
Competitors often want to, incorrectly, classify PeopleSoft as end-of-life, but with at least 10 more years of Oracle actively investing in new features and capabilities and providing PeopleSoft support through at least 2034, PeopleSoft keeps on going and going.
