Long Live Elasticsearch!
As of the 1st of May 2018, Elasticsearch is the only search engine supported for PeopleSoft 9.2 applications and it is the only search engine that can be used with PeopleTools 8.56. Oracle’s Secure Enterprise Search (SES) is no longer a supported option for use with PeopleSoft. Oracle continues its focus on improving the user experience and giving PeopleSoft a look and feel similar to the common apps people use every day so Elasticsearch allows a more intuitive way to find information throughout the PeopleSoft application. Before long we will be hearing about Chatbots, Blockchain, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
