Oklahoma HCA: PeopleSoft Success Story

The Oklahoma Healthcare Authority (OHCA) recently completed a major project, migrating from their legacy Great Plains system to PeopleSoft 9.2. This large-scale undertaking involved implementing a comprehensive suite of PeopleSoft modules, including Project Costing, Contracts, Grants, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Asset Management, General Ledger, Payables, and Purchasing/eProcurement. The project was a resounding success, delivered on time and within budget, thanks in large part to the expertise and collaborative efforts of MIPRO Consulting, OHCA, the Oklahoma Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES), and Oracle.

- Sam is a senior-level consulting leader and Project Management Professional (PMP) with 28+ years of information technology (IT) industry experience in consulting and leadership within private entities, with key emphasis on implementations, upgrades, optimizations, and transformation of ERP Financial, HRMS and EAM/ALM, and Cloud (SaaS.) Prior to software consulting, Sam worked in technology manufacturing, telecom, and healthcare as a manager of billing, credit, and collections and in the financial industry as a securities and investment adviser.
- Amy is the Director of Enterprise Financials for the State of Oklahoma. She has 18 years of experience in the information technology (IT) industry and has experience in governmental procurement, budget, finance, and project management throughout her years at the State. Amy has been a champion of the enterprise systems portfolio, overseeing multi-million-dollar projects over the last 5 years in this focus area. She has created a path to success through collaboration and coordination of complex projects, teams, and new strategic innovations.
- Claudia is the Finance Center of Excellence manager at Oklahoma HCA. She has over a decade of experience in governmental accounting, including three years leading a financial system modernization effort in Oklahoma to improve efficiency and transparency. As the head of the Finance Center of Excellence (COE), she has successfully guided a cross-functional team through complex implementations, upgrades, and optimizations of PeopleSoft Financials. In her previous roles, Claudia provided analytical support and problem-solving expertise, focusing on delivering impactful outcomes in PeopleSoft areas such as billing, project costing, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Event Mapping for Item Template Magic at Amerit

In this session, we will showcase how we used Event Mapping and Page and Field Configurator to restrict information based on security, add extra edits, and enhance the Item Templates without even touching the delivered code! Not only was this implemented without any code changes to objects, but it is able to be enabled and disabled without a migration.

- Bennett is a project manager and an Oracle-certified PeopleSoft application developer. He is passionate about PeopleSoft strategy, design, development, and maintenance in Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM). He is also the recipient of the 2020 Quest Oracle Community’s Customer Content Contributor Distinguished Service award.
- Sai is the PeopleSoft technical analyst at Amerit Fleet Solutions. He is also an Oracle Certified PeopleSoft FSCM consultant with 15 years of experience in the insurance, retail, manufacturing, marketing, and automotive domains.
