Asset Lifecycle Management and Real Estate

Asset Lifecycle Management and Real Estate

As Oracle Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) continues to proliferate and the value of these modules become realized, one stands out as the last to be
adopted by the marketplace: Property Manager (PM).

As a customer-facing member of an organization that implements ALM, I am seeing more interest in PM as an integrated solution addition to new and existing ALM platforms.  Perhaps this is a function of the continuing evolution of the ALM platform, or, more likely it’s the realization that PM is a critical component to the ALM suite of products whose value is on the rise.

Property Manager, also referred to as Real Estate, streamlines and automates lease administration and space management, enabling business to more intelligently manage real estate portfolios.  I submit that PM spans its  breadth of functionality far beyond the traditional real estate “portfolio.” Consider the benefits for other business verticals that manage large real estate portfolios.  For example, large dispersed organizations healthcare,  state and local government, K-12 and higher education are a few that come to mind.

Lots of opportunities there.  More organizations can use PM that might be apparent at first glance.

The challenge remains: because there are few PM implementations in existence, there are few software and consulting professionals with experience in the marketplace.  We happen to be one of them.

If you’re interested in PM, or just want to know more about how its integration could enhance your current PeopleSoft ALM applications, drop me an email and I’ll be glad to chat.  No pitch, no pressure.  PM, for most folks, is compelling once they begin to understand what it can do, and we’re happy to help fill in any blanks you might have.
