Almost 3 years ago I wrote a blog titled PeopleSoft – The Energizer Bunny of Software. The premise was that PeopleSoft was still thriving, despite what you may hear in the industry. Since then, a lot has changed, but PeopleSoft is still thriving and will continue for the foreseeable future.
PeopleSoft is Thriving
The first, and most basic, fact that I can provide to support that is that Oracle has committed to actively invest in PeopleSoft through at least 2036 with their rolling 10-year support policy, and there are no plans to end that anytime soon. What that means is that Oracle will continue to invest in new features and technologies to help PeopleSoft customers support their business operations well into the future.

In 2025 alone over 200 enhancements were added to Financials and Supply Chain modules, over 100 to Human Capital Management, over 45 to Campus solutions, and many enhancements to PeopleTools. What’s even better is that many of these new capabilities come directly from customers through the PeopleSoft Ideas Lab, the PeopleSoft site that allows customers to offer suggestions for new features and vote on existing suggestions. New enhancements and customer engagement – further proof PeopleSoft is thriving.
Cloud solutions, including the Oracle Cloud, are very prevalent today and many organizations have been successful implementing these and have found great value. However, the purpose of this blog is to reassure any organization that is not ready to make that move to the cloud that staying on PeopleSoft is still good plan for you, and you are not alone. In the past few years, MIPRO has worked with two large organizations that have committed to PeopleSoft as their strategic platform, one was new to PeopleSoft and the other expanded their PeopleSoft footprint to several new departments. We have collaborated with other companies on strategic planning engagements to help continue to deliver value from PeopleSoft.
In addition to the few customers referenced above, the PeopleSoft Innovators Program has had nearly 150 new innovators implementing new modules or newly introduced features or expanding PeopleSoft into new divisions within their company. That shows that many customers are still making strategic investments in PeopleSoft, and that’s because PeopleSoft continues to be a valuable platform from which to run your business and will be for a long time. New customers joining the PeopleSoft family and existing customers expanding their PeopleSoft footprint – more proof that PeopleSoft is thriving!
As a final thought, the purpose of this blog is not to dissuade you from looking at or moving to a cloud platform. The Oracle Cloud is a proven solution for anyone who is considering that move. The purpose of this blog is to reassure you that staying on PeopleSoft and continuing to utilize the new features and capabilities as they are released will provide you with a strong platform to run your business well into the future.
Please feel free to reach out to MIPRO for any PeopleSoft or Oracle Cloud questions.
