PeopleSoft Premier Support Extended Again

**Support through at least 2036 announced by Oracle.**

Great news from Oracle! Premier Support for Applications Unlimited products, which includes PeopleSoft, has been extended through at least 2036. This continues Oracle’s policy of providing a 10-year rolling window of support.

What that means is that Oracle will continue to deliver new functionality on its Continuous Innovation release schedule for at least 10 more years. Oracle releases 3 PUM updates per year which include new features and functions, fixes, and tax updates for PeopleSoft and other Oracle application products. In addition, Oracle continues to provide technical innovations and updates through PeopleTools, which help you manage and support PeopleSoft.

If you’re active in the PeopleSoft community, this isn’t news to you, but it’s important to remind ourselves of this occasionally. The push to move to a ‘more modern or cloud’ software platform can seem relentless, but remember with the continuous improvement release process, PeopleSoft keeps up to date with the features and capabilities requested by users.

Competitors often want to, incorrectly, classify PeopleSoft at “end of life”, but with at least 10 more years of Oracle actively investing in new features and capabilities, PeopleSoft is still a valuable platform.
