No long commentary today, but I did find an interesting take on archiving from an entertainment industry perspective, as opposed to the more typical IT, taxes or business records standpoints. If you think about the digital assets the entertainment industry generates (film, animation, models, textures, CGI artwork, etc.), you begin to see how archiving needs serious consideration for organizations in the entertainment industry — far more than was ever required in the analog age.
