PeopleTools 8.56
Oracle just announced the general availability of PeopleTools 8.56. This is the first major PeopleTools release since December 2015 so this is exciting news! Check out Oracle’s PeopleSoft Technology Blog for all of the information about PeopleTools 8.56. The site contains valuable links to additional information.
We encourage you to watch the video feature overview of the new tools and read the New Features Overview document (Oracle support ID required). These will be two of the best sources of information related to what is new in PeopleTools 8.56.
Here are a few of the key features in PeopleTools 8.56 to pay close attention to:
- Classic Plus feature: Classic Plus allows reworked classic components to be displayed in “Fluid-like” manner.
- Smartphone personalization: Users can now personalize their Homepage Fluid content much like they can on a PC. This brings one additional step toward being able to do even more work and value add activities on smart devices.
- PeopleSoft Update Manager: There are new analytics that allow users to drill into details and differentiate between bugs and new features. Additionally several new analytics are provided:
- Enhancements by Image
- Enhancements by product
- Enhancements by minimum tools release
PeopleTools 8.56 offers many other new features that may be of interest and value to your organization including some additional Change Assistant enhancements, PeopleSoft Test Framework and other portal enhancements.
