In our final blog of the Supplier Self Service series, we will explore the Work Center and Dashboard. We’ve certainly explored many of the fluid-enabled capabilities for the supplier. But there is also the classic Work Center and Dashboard that provide one location for everything we previously described.
Here we have the Public Dashboard with announcements, registration, sign-in, FAQ’s, etc.
Then there is the Secure Supplier Home Page providing the same alerts and links as the fluid version, with the addition of pagelets, making up the dashboard. The difference with the classic versions is this is all located on one Work Center-type home page. It really is a matter of preference – the intuitive nature of fluid vs. the one-page Work Center classic approach.
We shared a lot of information across these 11 blogs about what suppliers can do for themselves. Should you deploy Supplier Contracts, eSupplier, eSettlements or Strategic Sourcing, you will not only reap the value of the functionality of those modules but also the additional value of enabling your suppliers with self-service. In turn, this will reduce your time spent in supplier management and inquiry to free up your supply chain team for more strategic and value-add activities.
