Personal Passion
Ask Jim to name his passion and the answer will be immediate: his family. But that doesn’t stop him from pursuing his love of tennis not only on the court but taking trips with his wife (Kelly) to visit a few of the professional tournaments around the country. On the advice of a friend in 2005, he bought a Harley Davidson Road King Custom to see if he would like it. Answer: he LOVED it. He and his wife took rides locally (sometimes up to four hours long) as often as possible. The couple has been to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis South Dakota twice, Daytona Bike week twice, Blue Ridge Parkway, taking different routes to and from the event so they can see different parts of the country on the motorcycle. Unfortunately in 2017 Jim & his wife decided to sell the motorcycle due to the increased use of texting by drivers on the road. “We loved riding but decided that it was better to hang up our cleats while happy and having great memories rather than hanging up our cleats because something unfortunate happened”, more time for tennis….LOL
